Kamailio World 2014 – April 2-4, in Berlin, Germany

December 2, 2013 at 1:49 pmCategory:News

With a lot of dates to avoid in the next spring and being quite impossible to find a completely free of RTC events week, we decided to organize the second edition of Kamailio World during April 2-4, 2014, in the same beautiful city of Berlin, Germany. With Easter and 1st of May being rather big celebrations in Europe, we had to shift back few weeks comparing with the first edition. Later dates would push the event too much towards the summer holidays.

The exact structure is not finalized yet, but we are thinking of two and a half event this time, to introduce longer technical oriented workshops. In short for now:

  • start around noon on April 2, 2014 with a half a day of technical tutorials and eventually 1-2 hours of KamailioDev session
  • April 3 and 4 – the conference and exhibition

It is a Wednesday-Friday event, offering a convenient opportunity to spend time afterwards to strengthen the business relations just established during the event or simply enjoy Berlin.

Soon we will open the call for presentations. Please note that last year we were overbooked with speaking proposals, if you plan to present, be sure to submit yours as soon as possible to get your place there.

Registration for attendees is planned to be opened by beginning of 2014.

On a related topic, Kamailio project is preparing to release in few days a new major version, respectively 4.1.0 – there are plenty of new features – don’t wait too much to start using it.

Stay tuned for new updates!

Plans for the second edition of Kamailio World

October 25, 2013 at 7:49 pmCategory:News

With a very successful first edition, we are now starting to plan the second edition of Kamailio World conference.

For the location, we will stay in Berlin, Germany. The days are not yet selected, the target is in between March 15 and May 15, 2014. There are few things to sort out and you can help us make the right decision:

  • having full or half a day pre-conference event oriented to Kamailio development (Kamailio DevCon)
  • having a parallel track or using the day before for pure technical tutorials

We would also appreciate a lot if you notify us about dates that you would like to be avoided (e.g., public holidays in your country, which can be a blocker for traveling).

Contact us via email at <conference [at] kamailio.com>, twitter @KamailioWorld or Kamailio project mailing lists.

We are looking forward to meeting you at the second edition of Kamailio World!

Kamailio World – Quick Follow Up

April 18, 2013 at 3:34 pmCategory:News

First we want to thank to all participants to Kamailio World Conference, everyone having a relevant contribution to it, turning out the two days in a very successful event.

Special thanks to our sponsors – Sipwise, Fraunhofer Fokus, Asipto, Sipgate, NG-Voice, IT Center, Amooma and Zoiper – without them it would have been pretty impossible to bring a great group of speakers, have a nice location, excellent logistics and services on site – practically all that had matter to get such great event.

As organizers, we learned a lot, significantly helping to get even better for next editions. Please do send feedback to us, it is very important to improve for the next years, even if you didn’t participate, you can tell us what you would like to have at such event.

For everyone in the community, the slides should be published in the near future. We also recorded the sessions, not checked the movies yet, if the quality is fair enough, then they will be made available (probably will take a bit longer than the slides). Several sessions were recorded separately also by Randy from VUC, being already available on youtube:

Next is a photo taken during one of the talks at first edition of Kamailio World.

We will soon publish more details, as new resources are made available.
